MMCA CONFERENCE SEOUL, KOREA

Kate was invited by the British Council to be one of the featured speakers and deliver workshops at the Museum for Everyone-Senior 2018, Museum Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, Korea from 3rd December – 5th December 2018.

Working with 30 heritage/healthcare professionals and artists she delivered a workshop she typically facilitates with older people and those living with dementia. The theme was ‘House and Garden’ and everyone made their own house choosing their own materials.

One participant made a house that symbolized her grandmother’s house.
One participant covered the house in wool and filled it with wool on the inside to make a very warm house. Another participant didn’t know what house to make so she said she experimented with materials. One participant said she was a psychologist and never was able to make her own work so she found making the house a healing experience.
